It’s long since I published my last post on New Year Resolution for 2018. Actually this was the peak wedding season and I got stuck handling the huge pressure of bridal makeovers. And during this the question that I faced most from the brides as well as their relatives was ‘how to get fair skin naturally’.
Yes, ladies do lots of experiment on their skin to make it fair and glowing without knowing how the chemicals can impact on their skin. In fact, they want quicker solution – like miracle. The upsetting news is most of these cosmetics either cover your face with a whitish layer to give instant whiteness or chemically damage the natural pigments of your skin. At times, they can leave long term and non-reversible effect on your skin.
What’s the solution? I always motivate people to follow herbal methods that work slowly, but safely. And the best thing is, if you know the right method on how to get fair skin naturally, it will take less time than the time you spend at the parlour.
Here I have jotted down some of the proven methods that work on most of the skin types. Try whichever is convenient for you. And yes, don’t use all the methods simultaneously; that won’t make you fairer, neither speedup the process. Herbal methods take time – may be a few weeks or even few months.
Here I must include that fairness doesn’t make a person superior anyhow other than building a self-confidence. So, even if you have a dark complexion, you never have to suffer from inferiority complex – you always can look beautiful and appealing with proper makeup and wise selection of clothes.
1. Why A Fair Skin Is Important?
Girls don’t wear make-up and accessories to arrest the attention of boys, but to make other girls feel jealous. Close your widely opened mouth and hold your eye brows, as it is a proven fact. It is true that irrespective of genders, all of us love to have fair, smooth and flawless skin. Sometimes sunrays, dirt, smoke and pollution make our skin dark or some of us own darker skin tones since birth.
So, what is the solution? Is there any easy as well as safe option to lighten skin tone and make it glow that would stay permanently? How to get fair skin naturally without depending upon these insensitive chemicals? All these queries may crowd your mind.
Worry not! Today, I am here to introduce you with some very common and extremely pocket friendly herbal products that would bring dramatic change to your skin tone and overall skin health. But, for that you need to be patient. Result may take some time to turn up its lustrous head; just keep faith on the power of these herbs.
Tomato is full of vitamins and minerals. It not only helps having lighter skin tone, but also cures blemishes, pigmentations and suntan. It rehydrates and removes dead skin cells and speeds up the process of new cell reproduction.
Take one fresh tomato and squeeze its juice in a clean bowl. I suggest not to use grinder as the heat caused during grinding makes it less effective. Apply the paste directly on your skin and wait for 10 to 15 minutes. Once it starts drying, wash it off using plenty of cool water. The highly effective vitamins and minerals will improve your skin tone within 6 weeks if you can repeat the process at least thrice a week. Use the after-lunch idle time or may be during watching TV in the evening and it won’t be a ‘tough to follow’ process.
The citric acid in lemon is considered to be one of the best elements to treat darker skin tones very gently. Take out the lemon juice and dip small cotton balls into that. Simply dab it on the particular areas and let it sit there for 5 to 10 minutes and rinse it off with room-temperature water. If you have sensitive skin, it is better to dilute the essence of lemon with few teaspoon water. You can repeat the process every alternative day at first and gradually reduce the frequency as your skin becomes fairer.
3. Green tea
Sun rays and increasing pollution in the atmosphere steal the natural glow of our skin, burn it and make it dull, tanned and lay a veil of dust on it. The antioxidants present in the green tea are the best medicine to heal tanned, dry, damaged and dehydrated skin.
Mix two bags of green tea with 1 tablespoon of honey and same quantity of lemon juice. After 30 minutes, remove the tea bags and spread the mixture all over your skin. Wait for 15 minutes and then use normal water to clean it. I mostly recommend people to use it every alternative day as a natural face-wash pack.
Curd is not only healthy for your tummy, but for your skin also. Take plain curd or fuse it with honey or lemon juice and splatter on your skin. Wait few minutes and then use your finger tips to message it very politely and finally wash it off. Keep doing this daily and you can experience your skin is emitting its inner radiance within a very short period of time. But, people with dry skin should avoid it as it may make your skin even drier.
It not only acts as antibiotic on cuts and soothes burns and but also is used frequently as answer to how to get fair skin naturally. But, cooking turmeric powder shouldn’t be used.
Paste raw turmeric; add lemon juice or honey with it and apply all over your skin. If you don’t want the yellow hue, remove the mixture form your skin after 10 minutes. But, don’t repeat the method more than 3 days a week. Prefer using any mild bath soap if you want to get rid of any smell of the turmeric.
2. The Final Word
None of the above mentioned element has any side effect on most of the skin types. Still I suggest to monitor any irritation, itching, redness or any other change after the first or second use. In case, you find such issues after several repetition, may be reducing the frequency would be better.
But, you need to be very persistent, as all natural ways take time. And what about your makeup? Well, I suggest to use them as less as possible – may before any party. And don’t forget to wash them off as soon as you return.
